Their has been a lot going on since the Houston Astros got their punishment. Since then two more managers got fired by their teams. The first is Alex Cora, who was named extensively in the Commissioners report on the 2017 Astros Electronic stealing scheme. The report names Alex Cora as the only front office/manager personnel that helped set up and sustain the electronic sign stealing. Alex did admit his role to the Red Sox top brass during a meeting before they fired him.
The other manager that split from their team was Carlos Beltran. This was supposed to be a glorious return for Beltran who was a huge part of the mets organization as a player. He took over a team that looks to be in a win now situation. At the time Beltran was a player on the Houston Astros and the only player to be named in the commissioners report. Beltran is the only the second manager ever to be fired before managing their first game.
Their are also several other teams that are accused of stealing signs electronically. They are the Dodgers, Yankees, Diamondbacks, Cubs, Nationals, Indians, Blue Jays, and Rangers. MLB has not come out and confirmed this.These are just teams thrown out their by players and reporters.
After Beltran got fired it got weird, their was a twitter account that claimed to be the niece of Carlos Beltran. She made claims that Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve wore buzzers for during the playoffs. Of course the internet went on an investigative spree and found some pretty suspect video of Jose Altuve after hitting a walk-off Home Run in game 6 of the 2019 ALCS. Jose Altuve has since denied those claims, but will probably be tainted for the rest of his career. Alex Bregman has been silent since the accusation has came out. MLB has said they have found no evidence of the buzzer wearing in the whole cheating scandal investigation.
As if it could not get any weirder, Mike Trout got accused of taking HGH for a Thyroid issue. Scott Brosious son, David is accusing Mike Trout of taking HGH and the MLB covering up because they dont want the public to know their best player is taking HGH. David has since taken back his statement and issued an apology to Mike Trout and his family. The internet also went on to find an accusation on the internet from a guy named dirty dick slater that said trout took HGH back in 2014. It is pretty sad that some people are taking these seriusoly since Brosious apologized and some random internet guy who did not use his real name as evidence that Trout is a cheater.
Mike Clevinger, a starting pitcher with the Cleveland Indians, has started to tweet some interesting stuff on the Houston Astros for the upcoming season. To sum up two of his most interesting tweets on this, “Either the MLB takes care of this and suspends the players invovled in the Houston Astros Cheating scandal or I will take care of it. Meaning he will bean the players. To be brutally honest, he is right, not only are the Astros gonna get heckled at every stadium they go to, but they will let the league in getting hit by pitch. I also don’t think he is the only pitcher or team that wants to get revenge on the Astros. I think the MLB will have to put out a memo against beaning the Astros. It will certainly make the Astros away games must see TV.
